GORHAM, Maine – Bailey Cullen scored three goals to lead the Brandeis University Judges to a 5-3 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference women's soccer game Sunday afternoon at Hannaford Field.
Facing each other for just the second time in series history, Brandeis is 1-0-1 against the Huskies. The Judges previously tied the Huskies during the 2005 ECAC playoffs, tying USM 0-0 in double overtime and advancing on penalties. The loss ends the Huskies' 12 game win streak.

How It Happened:
- Southern Maine junior Catriona Gould (Freeport, Maine) struck first putting the Huskies up 1-0, running onto a lofted ball from junior Mia Sargent (Portland, Maine) in the seventh minute. Brandeis equalized right away off of the restart as Sydney Lenhart completed an assist from Cullen.
- Gould scored her team and LEC leading 19th goal of the season in the 19th minute to put USM up 2-1 on a well-timed through ball from graduate student Gaby Panagakos (Scarborough, Maine).
- Cullen scored the next three goals of the game in the 36th, 51st and 64th minute to give the Judges a 4-2 advantage.
- USM made a push for an equalizer late as graduate student Ciera Berthiaume (Windham, Maine) scored on an outstanding solo effort to make it 4-3 in the 84th. However, the Judges sealed the win when Yasla Ngoma took a ball from midfield and split the Huskies' defensive for a deciding fifth goal in the 89th.

- Berthiaume's goal is her seventh of the season and 43rd of her career. The Huskies' all-time leader in goals and assists (19), she has 105 career points. She is the first women's player to surpass 100 career points.
