GORHAM, Maine – Back and better than ever the University of Southern Maine Department of Athletics and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is excited to host one of its most popular events, the Husky Community Halloween Party this coming Friday, October 21 from 4-6 pm at the USM Softball Stadium on the Gorham campus of the University of Southern Maine.
Organized and hosted by Huskies' SAAC led by advisor/head women's basketball coach
Samantha Norris and the Gorham Department of Recreation, the Huskies' Community Halloween party is always a highlight of each academic year and provides kids (grades 5 and under) from the local communities a safe and fun environment to participate in a variety of Halloween-related activities.
A free, and family-oriented event, community members will enjoy hayrides, haunted walk, costume contests, trunk-or-tread, games, and fun with University of Southern Maine student-athletes. All 22 University of Southern Maine intercollegiate teams participate in the event from set-up to break-down, decorating, collecting candy donations and coordinating games and activities.

The Huskies' Community Halloween Party is one of many youth events enjoyed by Gorham and surrounding communities. Other events that the neighboring public takes part in are the annual Skate with the Huskies event hosted by USM's men's and women's ice hockey teams, the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament, Unified Sports Programming, and more.
