GORHAM, Maine –  Senior Hayes Estrella (Kennebunk, Maine/Thornton Academy) made four saves and the University of Southern Maine and the Rhode Island College Anchormen completed regulation in a scoreless draw in a Little East Conference men's soccer game Saturday afternoon at Hannaford Field.
 
Southern Maine is now 3-4-6 overall and 0-3-3 in the Little East.  The Huskies are unbeaten in their last five games (1-0-4), and have played three consecutive draws.

How It Happened:

• USM started off hot and had early chances earning a corner kick in the opening minute, but RIC returned the pressure and finished the half outshooting USM 8-1.  Estrella made three saves in the opening half.  
• The Huskies came out strong to start the second half, and had their best attempt of the game in the 51^st minute when junior Edwin Bonilla (Dracut, Mass.) headed on a ball but RIC goalkeeper Jake Reed came up with the stop.
• The play was more even in the second half, with RIC holding a slim 8-6 lead in shots.

Inside The Stats:

• Estrella's shutout is his seventh of the season and the ninth of his career.  His seven shutouts are tied for fifth in USM single season records. His nine career shutouts move him into a tie for sixth in career records.
