GORHAM, Maine – Senior
Hayes Estrella (Kennebunk, Maine/Thornton Academy) made four saves and the University of Southern Maine and the Rhode Island College Anchormen completed regulation in a scoreless draw in a Little East Conference men's soccer game Saturday afternoon at Hannaford Field.
Southern Maine is now 3-4-6 overall and 0-3-3 in the Little East. The Huskies are unbeaten in their last five games (1-0-4), and have played three consecutive draws.

How It Happened:
- USM started off hot and had early chances earning a corner kick in the opening minute, but RIC returned the pressure and finished the half outshooting USM 8-1. Estrella made three saves in the opening half.
- The Huskies came out strong to start the second half, and had their best attempt of the game in the 51st minute when junior Edwin Bonilla (Dracut, Mass.) headed on a ball but RIC goalkeeper Jake Reed came up with the stop.
- The play was more even in the second half, with RIC holding a slim 8-6 lead in shots.
