-After a back and forth 12 minutes of play, Claire Elfring (Lainsburg, Mich./Meijer AAA) snuck a shot past McKim to give the Soaring Eagles a 1-0 lead.
-McKim and the Huskies defense held strong for the remainder of the first period and until midway through the second period when Claire Meeder (Woodbury, Minn./North St. Paul) extended Elmira's lead to 2-0.
-McKim continued her exceptional play in the third period, stopping a penalty shot opportunity to keep the Huskies within two goals.
