-The Lancers stormed right back and tied the game on back-to-back goals from Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass/NS Wings) and Emily Pavoni (Granby, Mass/Chicopee Regional).
-Chagnon converted a power play opportunity again in the second period to put the Huskies up 3-2, but Ellen Cook (Becket, Mass/CT Northern Lights) answered right back for the Lancers to tie the game at 3-3 early in the third period. Chagnon is just the sixth player in USM history to score two power play goals in the same game.
-Chagnon scored two more goals for the Huskies in the third period to open up a 5-3 lead. Katie Puumala (Framingham, Mass/Winchendon School) scored late for the Lancers, leading to a tense last thirty seconds of regulation, but strong play from McKim allowed the Huskies to escape with the victory.
