BOSTON  – Allie Crawford had a goal and an assist to lead the UMass Boston Beacons to a 4-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a Little East Conference women's soccer contest Wednesday night in Boston.

In the 27
th meeting in the series between the two schools, UMass Boston has now won its last two games versus the Huskies. Southern Maine narrowly leads the series 14-13-0.Â

How It Happened:
- The Beacons scored twice in each half to seal the win. UMB took the lead in the 17th minute on a goal from Grace Oliver and an assist from Maggie Kelley. Ten minutes later in the 27th minute, Crawford and Mary Jo Murphy combined for the assist on Morgan Palma's goal to make it 2-0 – a lead the Beacons would take into the break.
- The game remained a two-goal advantage in favor of UMB until the final 10 minutes of the contest. The Beacons went up 3-0 in the 82nd minute on a goal from Crawford, before sealing the win with a converted penalty kick in the 87th minute from Dani Anderson.Â

Inside The Stats:
- The Beacons out shot USM 14-10 and had a 9-4 lead in shots on goal. The Beacons also had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- Today's game marked just the second time the Huskies have been shut out this season.Â
The Goalkeepers:
- Sophomore Bre Atwood (Franklin, Mass) made five saves in the loss.
- UMB goalkeeper Maria Spylios made four saves to earn the shut out victory.Â
