MANSFIELD, Conn. – Larson Richards scored the first of his two goals of the game in the closing moments of the first half to lead the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors to a 4-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in Little East Conference men's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Rick McCarthy Field.

How It Happened:
- Richards broke open a scoreless game 43:52 into the first half on assist from Eddy Vargas to score the first goal of the game. ECSU outshot USM 11-0 in the first half, but was unable to find the back of the next until late in the opening 45 minutes.
- The game remained 1-0 until the 75th minute when Vargas fed teammate Elijah French to double the Warriors lead. Five minutes later, Richards made it 3-0 with a goal in the 80th.
- ECSU closed out the scoring in the 81st as Andres Mayuri scored on assists from Richards and Emmanuel Agyemang.
Inside the Stats:
- The Warriors outshot the Huskies 30-2 (18-2 on frame). ECSU also had a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Goalkeepers:
- Junior Jacob Statires (Hampton, N.H.) made a career-high 14.
- ECSU's Dylan Pallanck played 81 minutes and did not make a save. Nathan Yeich played the final nine without making a save.
