BANGOR, Maine – Freshman Teagan Blackie (Old Town, Maine) and sophomore Kayleigh Eckenrode (Nashua, N.H.) each scored a goal as the Husson University Eagles picked up a 2-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference field hockey game Thursday night at the Winkin Complex. Husson outshot the Huskies 21-3 in a dominant performance and had a 14-2 advantage in penalty corners.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After nearly 14 minutes of scoreless action, Blackie put the Eagles up 1-0 on an assist from sophomore Leigha Carrier (Mexico, Maine). Blackie's goal was also the first recorded shot of the game.
- Eckenrode doubled the Husson advantage in the 45th minute driving in a goal off of an assist from sophomore Victoria Friend (Detriot, Maine).
- The Huskies did not record their first shot of the game until the 47th minute.
THE GOALKEEPERS
- Husson sophomore Kimmie Goddard (Westbrook, Maine) did not have to register a save in the victory.
- USM sophomore Julianna Kiklis (York, Maine) made eight saves for the Huskies in the loss.
