GORHAM, Maine – With the return of University of Southern Maine spring sports, Huskies' Athletics reminds its friends, family and fans that in-person attendance is presently impermissible.
All USM Athletic events will follow guidelines set forth by the State of Maine, the University of Maine System, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development (MDECD), the NCAA and the Little East Conference. USM Athletics is committed to maintaining the safest possible playing environment for our student-athletes, staff and for members of our opponents' teams, and to ensure a successful 2021 spring season.
"We're hopeful that guidelines may change in the future and we're able to welcome family members and Husky fans into our games, however, it's not possible at this time," said USM Director of Athletics
Al Bean. "If spectators attend and refuse to leave the premises, games must be suspended and may result in a forfeit. Obviously, we hope that issue will not arise and we ask for everyone's cooperation. Thank you in advance for your compliance with this policy."
The USM Department of Athletics will make an effort to live stream as many of our spring sport contest as possible within personnel and equipment limits. Access to the live streams are free and are available through southernmainehuskies.com
