GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine women's ice hockey team suffered a 3-0 shutout lost to the Bowdoin College Polar Bears on Tuesday night in Brunswick. The Polar Bears were led by goals from senior Izzi Stoddard (Concord, N.H./Saint Paul's School), junior Zoe Wilson (Missoula, Mont./Hotchkiss School), and sophomore Brett Stoddard (Concord, N.H./Saint Paul's School).

How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
- Wilson and Brett Stoddard scored within 40 seconds of one another in the first period to give Bowdoin an early 2-0 lead.
- The Huskies had an opportunity to get on the board in the first period when sophomore Zoe Solomons (Saugus, Mass./St. Mary's High School) stole the puck for a breakaway, but Miranda made the save to preserve a 2-0 Bowdoin lead.
- The Polar Bears struck again in the second period on a power play goal from Izzi Stoddard.
- Bowdoin won 66.6% of the faceoffs on their home ice, taking 40 of 60.
