GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies women's hockey team picked up key conference points with a 3-0 win over the New England College Pilgrims on Saturday night in Gorham. The Huskies' offense was led by goals from sophomores Zoe Solomons (Saugus, Mass./St. Mary's High School) and Georgie Snow (Yarmouth Port, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth) and freshman Ally Stymiest (Moncton, NB, Canada/The Mount Academy), while freshman Ellie Fredenburg (Cambridge, Mass./Cambridge Rindge and Latin School) stood strong in goal to lead the Huskies' defense.

How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
-The Huskies jumped out to an early lead when Zoe Solomons scored the first goal of the night and the eventual game-winner, just 8:58 into the first period. The goal was Solomons' second of the season.
-The score stayed at 1-0, despite power play opportunities for both teams early in the second period, until Snow's goal at 9:33 gave the Huskies a 2-0 lead.
-Symiest put the game away early in the third period with her third goal of the season.
-D'urso stood strong in goal for the Pilgrims, making 39 of her 51 saves in the second and third periods of play.
-The Huskies won 28 of the 50 face offs over the course of the game and had 54 shots on goal to the Pilgrim's 19.
