USM SAAC to Host Annual Husky Community Halloween Party at Softball Stadium

GORHAM, ME - After a one-year hiatus, the University of Southern Maine Department of Athletics will welcome back one of the most popular events, the Husky Community Halloween Party this coming Friday, October 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the USM Softball Stadium on the Gorham Campus of the University of Southern Maine. 

The event is organized and hosted by the Huskies' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) led by advisor/head women's basketball coach Samantha Norris, and the Gorham Department of Recreation. The Huskies' Community Halloween Party gives kids (grades 5 and under)  from the local communities a safe environment to participate in many different Halloween-related activities. 

Family members can participate in a plethora of activities that is hosted by USM student-athletes, including the return of two of the most popular attractions, the Husky Halloween Hayride and the Husky Haunted House.

Activities: hayrides, hot cider and donuts, games, haunted walk, dance contest, and candy

The Huskies' Community Halloween Party is one of many youth events enjoyed by Gorham and surrounding communities. Other events that the neighboring public takes part in are the annual Skate with the Huskies event hosted by USM's men's and women's ice hockey teams, the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament, Unified Sports Programming, and more.
