Malcolm Chase

           Now in his fifth season as the head coach of the USM men's lacrosseprogram, Malcolm Chase was a former assistant coach at ConnecticutCollege before being selected to lead the Huskies in July 2006succeeding Ben Raymond.

           In his first four seasons as head coach, Chase has compiled a 20-41record, including an 11-7 mark in 2009 that earned the program itsfirst home playoff game, and playoff victory.  His peers inthe Little East Conference recognized Chases with the Coach of theYear award.

           Chase was the defensive coordinator/assistant coach at ConnecticutCollege for two seasons (2004-2005) where he "designed andimplemented defensive strategies."  Prior to his two seasonsat Connecticut College, he served for one year as an assistantcoach at Roanoke College.

           As a collegiate player, he was a Western Collegiate Lacrosse LeagueAll-Star for Whittier College, and has since played on severalelite club teams and in exhibitions for the US Indoor Developmentalteam.

           Chase is the Director of Maine Premier Lacrosse and directs campsacross the country during the Summer for Xcelerate Lacrosse Camps.Chase has worked at a number of lacrosse camps and was a featuredspeaker at the 2005 US Lacrosse National Convention.

           A certified personal trainer through the National Academy of SportsMedicine, Chase received his bachelor's degree in businessadministration from Whittier College in 2001.
