Kim Turner is entering her 17th year at USM in 2025-26. Initially hired at USM in 1997, Turner served asĀ Assistant Director of Athletics until 2005. She returned to USM in 2016 as Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator.
Turner graduated from UMaine in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Management and received a M.S in Sport Studies from UMass Amherst in 1990. She has also held positions inĀ athletic administration at Syracuse University, Marist College and Middlebury Union High School.
A dedicated administrator and a staple of the USM Atheltic Department, she is the namesake for theĀ
Kimberly M. Turner Award. Established in 2018, the Turner Award is given annually to a student employee or volunteer who has consistently made significant contributions to the USM Athletic Department, and who has demonstrated the many positive characteristics and attributes that Turner displays each and every day while working with students, staff and colleagues across the University: work ethic, leadership, extraordinary commitment, respect, attention to detail, and compassion.Ā
Turner is a proud resident of Gorham, MaineĀ with her husband Jeff and dog Sadie.Ā She was two grown children, Kiersten and Dylan, who live in Colorado.
