Hanni Johnson returns for second season as assistant coach with the Huskies field hockey team in 2026 and will work primarily with the team's defense and goalkeepers. Johnson, a 2025 graduate for Southern Maine, played in 80 career games and started in 59 games. She dependable started on defense, Johnson also recorded a goal and two assists in her career.
Johnson graduated from Southern Maine with a double major in Business Management and Business Marketing in December of 2025. She has coached with Maine Styx Club teams and is currently their MSIL director and coach. Johnson also served as head coach of the Mt. Blue High School girls tennis team in 2026. While at Southern Maine, Johnson was selected to be a participant in the NCAA Immersion Program.
