Danielle Clark

After a successful collegiate playing career and five-yearcareer as a professional basketball player in Europe, DanielleClark is returning to her home state in her seond season on thesidelines as an assistant coach for the University of SouthernMaine women’s basketball team.

           A 2003 graduate of Nokomis High School, where she won a StateChampionship in 2001, Clark continued her playing career at theUniversity of New Hampshire.  Earning a full basketballscholarship, Clark was a two-time America East All-Conferenceselection for the Wildcats and  was named the 2007 JimUrguhart Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior.  Excellingin the classroom, Clark was selected to the America EastAll-Academic team. She was a four-year member of the dean’slist and a three-year member of the university’sStudent-Athlete Advisory Committee. Clark earned her degree inJournalism from UNH in 2007 with honors. 

           After concluding her career at UNH, Clark went on to a four-yearcareer as a professional basketball player in Europe.  From2007-2008, Clark played for Division 3 Damiel in Spain beforemoving to the Division 2 Panthers of Osnabruck, Germany, helpingthe Panthers finish second in their league from 2008-2010. For the 2010-2011 season, Clark played for the Division 2 BasCatsin Heidelburg, Germany helping her team to a third placefinish.  Clark played her final season for the Division 1Hurricanes of Rotenburg, Germany and was in the top ten in scoringand rebounding.
