Jon Deupree joined the Huskies staff after graduating from the University of Southern Maine in May of 2015. As an assistant coach, Deupree has been instrumental in the Huskies success over the past few years. Since his arrival he has helped coach the program's first NCAA National Champion, Dan Del Gallo in 2017 and was named New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Assistant Coach of the year in 2018, after a program best regional tournament. Since joining the Huskies' staff, Deupree has coached 19 NCAA Northeast Region place-winners, seven NCAA Division III National Qualifiers, four National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Americans, and 11 NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
 
On the mat as a Husky student-athlete, Deupree was a two-time NCAA Northeast Region Champion and three-time place-winner.  Deupree represented the Huskies on two occasions at the NCAA National Tournament. Named the Outstanding Wrestler of the NCAA Northeast Region championship his senior year earning a ranking as high as number two in the country, Deupree goes down as one of the best to put on a Huskies singlet.
