A 2010 graduate of Husson University, Joe Kane begins his second season with the University of Southern Maine men's basketball program. 

Kane earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with summa cum laude distinction and was valedictorian of his graduating class in 2010.  Kane also earned his Masters of Science in Business (2010) and his Masters of Business Administration (2013) from Husson. 

A member of the Husson University men's basketball team, Kane helped the Eagles to multiple regular season first place finishes, as well as a 2009 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.  Kane was a two-time member of the NAC All-Academic team, earning the award as a junior and a senior.  Kane was also a member of the 2009 NAC men's soccer championship team as a senior. 

Prior to Husson, Kane was a three-sport athlete at Central High School.  He was a fouryear starter in basketball, soccer and baseball.  He served as captain of his basketball team for three  years, the baseball team for two years, and the soccer team for two years.  Kane earned multiple athletic and academic conference awards in all three sports while competing for Central.
