May Wellness Tip:  Dynamic Stretching

Dynamic stretching is one of the best ways to prepare for any physical activity. These types of stretches are a great addition to any warm-up routine by helping to increase heart-rate and loosen body muscles to reduce the risk of injury.

This video, brought to us by Saco Bay Orthopaedic Sports Physical Therapy, walks through upper and lower body stretches that can be implemented into a fitness routine.

June Wellness Tip:  Dry Needling

Dry needling is an alternative treatment option for pain relief and improved muscle movement.

Saco Bay Orthopaedic Sports Physical Therapy therapists use a dry needle (a needle without medicine) to deactivate trigger points in your muscle. Dry needling is used along with other physical therapy exercises and techniques and is different from acupuncture.
