BRUNSWICK, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's cross country team placed fifth out of 12 teams on Saturday at the Maine State Meet at Bowdoin College. Sophomore Conner Smith (Durham, Maine/Freeport) finished 20th overall with an 8k time of 25:56.0.
 
Bates College won the meet with the University of Maine placing second and Colby College finishing third. Nathaniel Aronson from Bates was the top performer with a time of 25:09.3.
 
Sophomore Evan Schneider (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Old Orchard Beach) placed 26th with a personal-best time of 26:08.1 and senior Cyrus Evans (Farmington, Maine/Mt. Blue) was the third Husky to cross the finish line with a time of 28:14.1 to place 75th.
 
On the Course:

• Sophomore Ethan Cadorette (Biddeford, Maine) placed 78th with a time of 28:17.9.
• Sophomore Camden Cyr (Kittery, Maine/Traip Academy) finished 79th with a time of 28:18.7.
• Senior Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) placed 96th with a time of 29:08.0.
• Junior Jack Tassinari (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) finished 97th with a personal-best time of 29:09.1.
