GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's track & field has earned All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025-26 season. The team also had eight student-athletes, senior Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) Jaigan Boudreau (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy), junior Gwen Catalano (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle), sophomore Khalysa Hammith (Windham, Maine), senior AnnMarie Limberger (Vassalboro, Maine/Waterville), sophomore Isa Moustakas (Berlin, Vt./U-32), senior Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy) and sophomore Madi Sainis (Pierrefords, Quebec), earn All-Academic Athlete status.
 
Boudreau, Catalano, Limberger and Reitchel also earned 2025-2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
 
Programs are recognized as All-Academic Teams if their cumulative team GPA is at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter. All-Academic Athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and must meet an additional athletic requirement of either finishing the season among the top 50 individuals on the national performance list or being a member of one of the top 35 relay teams.
 
Barnes won the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship in the shot put with a program record throw of 14.84m. She became the third woman in program history to win a national title. One of the most decorated athletes in program history, Barnes was named the Northeast Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year thanks to her performance at the National Championships. She ended her career as a two-time All-American a Her career accolades include 10-time All-Region honoree, a nine-time Little East Conference event champion and won five Little East Conference Field Athlete of the Year awards. In addition to holding the program record in both the indoor (14.84m) and outdoor shot put (13.49m), Barnes is program record holder in the weight throw (16.98m) and discus (45.60m). Barnes majored in Nursing during her time with the Huskies.
 
Boudreau won conference titles in shot put and discus during the outdoor season and earned All-Region honors in both events. She also earned All-Region honors in the shot put for the indoor season with a mark of 13.21m that ranked 43rd nationally. A Criminology major, she has won six LEC event titles in her career and earned All-Region honors 11 times.
 
Catalano, who also was an All-Academic Athlete for the cross country season, earned Second Team All-LEC honors in the 5000m with a personal-best time of 18:23.50 and Third Team All-LEC honors in the 3000m with a time of 10:55.65. She then earned Third Team All-LEC honors in the 5000m during the outdoor season by running a time of 18:23.21 at the conference championships. Catalano is majoring in Health Sciences.
 
Hammith tied for 37th nationally in the indoor long jump with a mark of 5.61m. She placed fifth in the long jump at the indoor conference championship with a mark of 5.24m and sixth at the outdoor event with a mark of 5.10m. Hammith placed 18th in the event as a freshman at the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championships with a mark of 5.37m and also won the LEC title in the long jump with a program record mark of 5.79m. She is majoring in Nursing.
 
Limberger, a recent graduate with a degree in Elementary Education, earned Second Team All-LEC honors as part of 4x800 relays team at both the indoor and outdoor conference championship meets this season. During the indoor season she placed fourth in the 800 meters at the LEC Championships with a personal-best time of 2:26.16.
 
Moustakas placed first in the 400 meters at the TRACK at New Balance Early Bird Invitational during the indoor season with a personal-best time 57.83 seconds to move into fourth in program history. The time ranked 11th in the region. As a freshman in 2024-25, Moustakas ran on a 4x100 relay team that won the indoor conference title. She is majoring in Political Science.
 
Reitchel placed sixth in the javelin at the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships with a season-best throw of 43.35m, the sixth-best mark in program history, to earn First Team All-American honors. She ranked 19th nationally heading into the event. She won her third LEC javelin title and earned Second Team All-LEC honors in the outdoor pole vault and Third Team honors in the indoor pole vault. In addition to her three conference titles in the javelin, Reitchel won conference titles in the indoor pole vault in 2024 and as part of an indoor 4x400 team in 2023. She earned All-Region honors three times in her career. A Linguistics major, Reitchel is now a three-time All-Academic Athlete.
 
Sainis earned Third Team All-LEC honors in the 1500m and 4x400 relay at the LEC Outdoor Championships in addition to All-Rookie status in the 1500m. She was named the LEC Track Rookie of the Week four times during the indoor season. Sainis is majoring in Biology.
