GORHAM, Maine – Freshman
Emma Morrison (Rockland, Maine/Kents Hill) and senior
Britney Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's lacrosse team have earned the program's first Little East Conference weekly awards of the season. Morrison was named both the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week and Rookie of the Week after picking up the first win of her career. Hill was chosen as the LEC Defensive Player of the Week thanks to her strong defense in a 12-9 win over Worcester State on Saturday.

Morrison made eight saves in Saturday's win in her first game as a Husky. She also recorded three ground balls.

Hill, a First Team All-LEC defender last season, tied for the team lead in caused turnovers with four on Saturday in addition to scooping up two ground balls.
The next game for the Huskies will be a home game against the University of New England on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
