Fast Start Leads Endicott Past Southern Maine 3-1


BEVERLY, Mass.  –  Olivia Pardo and Sofia Agudelo each scored in the opening half to lead the Endicott College Gulls to a 3-1 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference women's soccer game Tuesday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.
 
Senior Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy) accounted for the Huskies' goal, notching her fourth goal of the season and her 26th goal of her career. S

Today's game marked the first meeting between both programs. 
 
How It Happened:
  • All four goals in the contest were scored in the first half.  Scoring concluded in the 34th minute of the game on Reitchel's goal.
  • Endicott took an early 1-0 lead after a miscue in the Huskies defense led to an own goal.
  • Pardo doubled the Gull advantage in the sixth minutes scoring her second goal of the season on an assist from Alyssa McColl. 
  • Endicott led by three, 3-0, in the 22nd minute when Agudelo got on the board for the first time in 2025 with an unassisted goal.
  • Sophomore Makyla Magid (Golden, Colo.) and freshman Lexi Morin (Brunswick, Maine) teamed up in the 34th minute to assist on Reitchel's marker to bring USM back a goal 3-1. 
  • Neither team generated many chances in the second half with Endicott putting a pair of shots on target (11 total) while Southern Maine turned in three.
