How It Happened:
  • The Huskies scored the first four points of the first set and held on to the lead to take the set 25-18. Freshman Ella Koehler (Pickerington, Ohio/Fairfield Christian Academy) had two back-to-back aces during the 4-0 run to start the match.

Thomas scored the next point before the Huskies had a 5-0 run of their own to retake the lead at 22-18. The Terriers eventually cut the lead to 24-23 before a spike from Koehler gave the Huskies a 25-23 set win.
  • Thomas was trailing 11-6 in the third set before they cut the lead to a point with a 4-0 run. The Huskies settled in however and scored the next seven points to go up 18-10. Southern Maine closed out the match with a 25-15 win in the third set.
