How It Happened:
- Gould's first goal of the game put Southern Maine ahead 1-0. Receiving in the ball at midfield, Gould drove at goal, and slotted the ball to the left side for her fifth goal of the season.
- After receiving a free kick drawing a foul outside of the box, Southern Maine junior back Devan Sherry (Gorham, Maine/Waynflete) hit a low ball into the box and around the ECSU defense onto a rushing Gould who slotted the ball to the near post in the 36th.
- Up 2-0 at the half, ECSU pulled a goal back in the 59th minute as Hailey Cocca tapped in a goal off of an assist from Katelyn Herbert. Herbert chased a ball down the left side, and Cocca took advantage of the Huskies' defense being pulled out of shape for the tally.
- ECSU tied it up at 2-2 almost immediately after the restart as Lilly Simpson collected a misplayed ball in the back and scored an empty netter in the 60th minute.
- USM took nine minutes to retake the lead. ECSU fouled the Huskies on the right side of the field, and Gould took the kick sending in a service to the far side of the box and onto the head of Hill who redirected it back into the goal for the win.
- ECSU goalkeeper Alex Ignatowicz, who entered the game in the second half, made seven big saves for the Warriors, including a penalty stop in the 72nd.
