Jake Craig (Skowhegan, Maine) and junior
Colby Frost (Steep Falls, Maine/Bonny Eagle) each had a pair of dominant wins by technical fall to highlight a 3-0 day for the University of Southern Maine Huskies at the Trinity College Quad Meet at Memorial Fieldhouse.
Southern Maine earned wins over Plymouth State 35-21, Trinity College 29-18, and had a dramatic 22-19 win against Western New England. With the three dual meet victories, Southern Maine has won eight in a row and improves to 12-6 in dual meet action.

On the Mat:
- Against Plymouth the Huskies had four wins by fall. Junior Liam Knight (Danbury, Conn.) opened with a win by fall at 125, and Huskies claimed victories at 141, 149, 174, 184 and 197.
- Up 18-6 following the 184 pound match against Trinity, Southern Maine dropped the 197 and 285 lb matches consecutively to fall even with the Bantams 18-18. Closing out the match at 125 and 133, the Huskies' Craig earned five points for Southern Maine with an overwhelming 17-1 technical fall victory for the lead. USM went on to win 29-18 with a forfeit at 133.
- Frost delivered the win for Southern Maine against Western New England. Trailing the Golden Bears 19-18 with the 149 lb match left, Frost dominated his opponent en route to a 19-3 technical fall victory.
Match Notes:
- Nationally ranked at 125lbs, Craig is now 23-4 on the season. Craig's match winning victory against Trinity's Alex Schaeublin featured regional No. 1 Craig versus No. 7 Schaeublin.
- Frost's two wins extends his win streak to 11. Frost is now 15-2, and has five wins by technical fall, and five wins by fall.
