PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University Panthers defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies 3-0 on Wednesday evening in a Little East Conference women's volleyball match. Emma Hampton and Nora Ryan each recorded 12.5 points for the Panthers while freshman Ella Koehler (Pickerington, Ohio/Fairfield Christian Academy) led the Huskies with 10 points from 10 kills.

The Panthers led the series 32-0.
 
How It Happened:

• Plymouth State won the first set 25-17 with Hampton recording four of her team's 12 kills in the set.
• The Panthers handed the Huskies the 25-9 loss in the second set while hitting .333 as a team.
• The sweep was completed with the Panthers taking the third set 25-15.

 
Inside The Stats:

• Hampton had a game-leading 11 kills with Koehler placing second with 10.
• Lilli Stogner tallied 12 points with nine kills, four block assists and an ace.
• The Panthers led 9-1 in blocks
• Fifth-year senior Sierra Castonguay (Nottingham, N.H./Dover) and Makayla Marucci tied for the most digs with 15 each.
• Sophomore Tiara Begishe (Shonto, Ariz./Monument Valley) logged 21 assists for the Huskies.
• Plymouth State led 8-1 in aces led by three from Ryan.
• Sophomore Anyelis Hernandez (Lawrence, Mass.) added seven kills for Southern Maine.

The Huskies will travel to Fitchburg State University on Saturday for a tri-match that also features a tilt with Curry College. The team will play Curry at 1:00 pm and then face the hosts at 3:00 pm.
