Simon Gabaree made six saves as the University of Southern Maine Huskies drew the Curry College Colonels in a non-conference men's soccer game Monday afternoon at Walter M. Katz Field.
Both teams are undefeated in 2023, winning their season openers before drawing level in today's contest.

Today's contest is the third meeting in program history between Southern Maine and Curry. The Huskies took a 1-0 overtime victory at Curry in 2021, and both teams battled to a 1-1 draw in 2022 at Hannaford Field. The Huskies are now 1-0-2 against Curry all-time.
How It Happened:
- Curry outshot Southern Maine 8-3 in the first half, but Gabaree kept the Colonels off the scoreboard, making three first half saves.
- Smith put the Huskies ahead 1-0 in the 14th minute with an unassisted goal. The goal is the first of the season for the Husky forward.
- Curry was able to pull even just before the end of regulation to salvage the tie at home. Richard Savage finished an assisgt from JD Santiago with just under a minute to play in the full 90.
