However, it was the final two runs of the game for the Huskies.
  • After a scoreless bottom of the first and top of two, UWSP surged ahead of USM with a six-run second inning.  The Pointers started with a leadoff walk from Kyle Finger and a double from Brendan Canterbury.  An outfield error led to the Pointers first run of the game, before Jakob Boos had a two run single and Tomczak had the first of his three hits for two RBI and a 5-2 UWSP lead.  Logan Matson drove in the final run of the inning with a sacrifice fly RBI to center field.
  • Up 6-2, UWSP tacked on five more runs in the bottom of the third.  The Pointers scored five runs on five hits, including an RBI double from Payton Nelson, an RBI single from Tomczak and a two-run home run from Bradley Comer.
  • The score remained unchanged through the fourth, and Pickering retired USM in order in the top of the fifth.  In the home half of the fifth, UWSP added six more runs highlighted by a three-run home run from Logan Holmolka.
  • The Huskies collected a pair of singles in the sixth but were unable to advance a runner past second for the 17-2 final.
