Cierra Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) scored the first two goals of her career on Wednesday night as the University of Southern Maine women's lacrosse team was defeated by Saint Joseph's College by a score of 13-5.

USM: Lydia Laslavic (Thomaston, Maine/Oceanside): 0-1, 12 saves, 13 goals allowed, .480 save percentage.
How It Happened:
- Saint Joseph's scored the first three goals of the game with the first two coming with a player advantage. The Huskies cut the lead to 3-2 with goals from graduate student Rachel Shanks (Naples, Maine/Lake Region) and junior Paige Rinaldi (Freeport, Maine) with the latter coming on a free position shot before the Monks scored again towards the end of the first quarter.
- Both goals in the second quarter were scored by SJC's Carson Battaglia and the Monk's ended the half leading 6-2.
- The Huskies were outscored 4-2 in the third quarter with Hill netting both Southern Maine goals.
- Sophomore Emily Cloutier (Brunswick, Maine) scored her first goal of the season in the fourth quarter.
Inside The Stats:
- Battaglia led the offensive attack for the Monks with five goals along with Lydia Dexter (two goals and five assists) and Brianna Paul (three goals and two assists).
- Cloutier, junior Kiaya Gatchell (Portland, Maine/Deering) and sophomore Anna Byers (Milford, Ct./ Joseph A. Foran) each recorded an assist.
- Each team scored a free position goal with the Huskies converting one of their two and Monks succeeding on one out of their three.
