WATERVILLE, Maine - Joshua Joseph scored twice to lead the Thomas College Terriers to a 2-1 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference men's soccer game Sunday evening at Smith Field.

Today's game marked the 53
rd meeting between the University of Southern Maine Huskies and the Thomas College Terriers. Southern Maine leads the overall series 29-17-7. The Huskies and the Terriers battled to a scoreless draw in 2022, and in 2021, the Huskies earned a 2-1 win in overtime.
How It Happened:
- Joseph put the Terriers on the board first scoring in the 13th minute. Registering his 13th goal of the season, Joseph's marker came after a busy opening 12 minutes of play, that included four shots and two corners from the Terriers.
- Sophomore Samir Sayed (Portland, Maine/Waynflete) pulled the Huskies even in the 34th minute, scoring his first intercollegiate goal for the equalizer.
- USM ended the half with an 8-6 lead in shots, but the score remained tied 1-1 at the halftime break.
- Joseph put the Terriers ahead early in the second half, scoring just three minutes in, for his team-leading 14th goal of the season. Joseph was assisted on the game-winning goal by Jack Thompson.
