-Wetmore scored two more and Tucker Nussinow (Winthrop, Maine/Kent Hills School) added another to give the Huskies a 6-2 lead after one quarter of play.

-The Vikings opened the second quarter with a goal to cut the deficit to three goals, but five second quarter goals gave the Huskies an 11-5 lead at the half.  Wetmore, James, and Nussinow all scored again and Aidan Mitchell (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) added his first goal of the game.

-Salem State launched a comeback, scoring five goals in the third quarter. Patrick Guinee (Gloucester, Mass.) scored twice and Drew Worthley (Saugus, Mass.), Sam Cioffi (Marblehead, Mass.), and Lake Fleming (Gloucester, Mass.) each added goals to cut the Huskies lead to just four after three quarters.

-Southern Maine out-scored the Vikings 10-2 in the final quarter of play to secure their first conference win of the season.

-The face-off team of Xpistos Sourgiadakis (Littleton, N.H./St. Johnsbury Academy), Cruise Lizotte-Johnson (Sanford, Maine/Sanford), and Caedan Poission-Bragdon (Lewiston, Maine/Lewiston) won 29-of-41 face-offs on the day.
