How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
-Southern Maine got out to an early lead as Evelyn Hinkley (West Gardiner, Maine/Gardiner Area) and Lilly Weinrich (Yarmouth, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy) scored back-to-back goals in the opening four minutes of play.

-Wheaton's offense answered right back as Gabriella Smart (Oakland, Maine) and Avonlea LeBeau (North Branford, Conn.) each scored to tie things up 2-2.

-Weinrich scored her second goal of the night and in the closing minutes of the first quarter, Kilburn and Rachel Shanks (Naples, Maine/Lake Region) also scored to bring the score to 4-3 Huskies.

-The Lyons evened things out just 35 seconds into the second quarter when Abigail Mountain (Niantic, Conn.) scored, but Jennifer Darasz (Gorham, Maine/Gorham) responded for the Huskies, preserving their one goal lead.

-With just 24 seconds to play in the half, Mountain scored again to tie the game.

-The back half of the game was dominated by the Wheaton offense as they scored six of the last eight goals of the game.

-Shanks would add two more for the Huskies, but it wouldn't be enough as Kilburn scored three more, Mountain and LeBeau each added another goal, and Sophie Gromala (Killingworth, Conn.) scored her first of the game.

-The Lyons out-shot the Huskies 31-13 and were an impressive 15-for-18 on clear attempts.
