  • USM lead early 2-0 on a sacrifice fly RBI from sophomore Cam Seymour (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) and an RBI double from freshman Zach Mooers (Keene, N.H./Winchendon School) in the first.
  • Oswego scored three runs in the top of the second to snag the lead, including an RBI single through the left side from Blake Van Dreason, and added another in the top of the third. Lukas Olsson picked up the RBI with a ground out to score Ryan Enos. Enos led off the inning with a single to left.
  • Seymour and Mooers led off the bottom of the third with a walk and a single respectively before junior Arlo Pike (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) hit an RBI single through the right side to bring home Seymour.  After a fly out moved Mooers to third, Mooers scored on a fly out to center field.
  • With the score knotted up at 4-4, Afthin retired the Oswego side in order racking up three consecutive strikeouts.  Husky senior Jason Komulainen (Gorham, Maine) led off the bottom of the fourth with a single to left and moved up to second on a ground out before coming around to score on a sacrifice fly from Vesosky, giving USM a 5-4 lead.
  • Oswego tied it back up with a two-out RBI double Kyle Lauria in the fifth.  However, the Huskies' tagged Oswego with seven runs in the home half of the fifth to snag a 12-5 lead. Seymour, Mooers and Pike each walked to start the inning.
