STANDISH, Maine – The University of Southern Maine volleyball team dropped a non-conference match to the Saint Joseph's College of Maine Monks on Thursday evening.

How It Happened:

• The Monks took the first set 25-19 after pulling away from an 11-11 tie.
• Saint Joseph's started off strong and cruised to a 25-13 in set number two.
• The Huskies claimed victory in the third set by a score of 25-21 to make the match score 2-1.
• The hosts broke a 10-10 tie in the fourth set with an 11-1 run on their way to a 25-13 win.

• Senior Sophie Lindsay (Sierra Madre, Cail./Pasadena) was the team's leader in kills with six and assists with 15. She also third in digs with seven.
• Junior Sierra Castonguay (Nottingham, N.H./Dover) recorded 16 digs and two service aces.
• Junior Meg Perry (Gorham, Maine) was second on the team in both kills (six) and digs (13).
• Victoria Briones logged 14 kills, three aces and 15 digs.
