PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – Conference leader Rhode Island College Anchormen outscored the University of Southern Maine Huskies 22-10 in the fourth quarter to break open the game and earn a 72-52 win in a Little East Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Murray Center.
Antonia Corsinetti scored 16 points to lead four RIC players in double-figures as the Anchormen earned their sixth consecutive win. RIC is undefeated in conference play at 6-0.

th time in series history, RIC sweeps the regular season series from the Huskies in 2021-2022. USM leads the overall series 69-20.

How It Happened:
- USM had an early advantage on RIC scoring the first eight points of the game, but the Anchormen scored 12 unanswered points to take a 12-8 advantage and secure the lead for good.
- Down by 10 (31-21) at the half, Southern Maine rallied to within two possessions of RIC and trailed 47-42 with 28 seconds remaining in the third quarter following a bucket from Harris off of an assist from Rowe. However, RIC's Willcia McBourrough grabbed an offensive rebound and scored the put-back while getting fouled for a traditional three-point play giving the Anchormen a 50-42 lead headed into the fourth.
- RIC broke open the game scoring the first eight points, extending their run from the third quarter to 11-0. Harris broke up the RIC run with a jumper, and a three from Fleming made it a 60-47 game with just under five to play, but RIC closed out the quarter on a 12-5 run for the final.
Inside the Stats:
- After today's games, Harris has 744 points, 385 rebounds, 115 steals, 76 blocked shots and 49 assists in 69 games.
- USM committed 23 turnovers to RIC's 19 in the contest, but the Anchormen scored 27 points off of Husky miscues compared for 15 for Southern Maine.
- RIC outrebounded USM 45-29 and had 21 offensive rebounds, scoring 21 second chance points.
