BRUNSWICK, Maine - Hannah Wurdack had a hat trick and Faith Jennings and Beth Koeller each scored two goals to lead the 12
th-ranked Bowdoin College Polar Bears to a 10-0 win over the University of Southern Maien Huskies in a non-conference field hockey game Thursday night at Ryan Field.
Ranked No. 12 in latest National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) Poll, Bowdoin extended its win streak to four games. Each of the four wins have been via shut out. The loss halts Southern Maine's three-game win streak. Bowdoin lead the 50-game series 39-6-5.

Julianna Kiklis (York, Maine) played a strong game in net, setting a career-high in saves.

How It Happened:
- It took until the closing minutes of the first quarter before Bowdoin snagged the lead it would not relinquish en route to the win. Bowdoin's Faith Jennings scored the first goal of the game in the 14th minute.
- Bowdoin added three goals in the second quarter for a 4-0 halftime lead as Wurdack scored the first of her three goals in the game.
- It was 6-0 in favor of the Polar Bears by the end of the third on goals by Koeller and Wurdack, before Bowdoin wrapped up the game with a four-goal fourth quarter. Jennings scored the first goal of the fourth while Wurdack scored the last goal of the game.
Inside The Stats:
- Bowdoin had a 25-1 lead in shots on goal. USM freshman Abigail Chartier (Lewiston, Maine) recorded the Huskies' lone shot on goal – an attempt to the upper right corner – in the second quarter.
- The Polar Bears also led USM in penalty corners 12-1.
The Goalkeepers:
- Husky junior Julianna Kiklis (York, Maine) made a season and career-high 15 saves. She has 62 saves this season.
- Bowdoin's Julia Arsenault and Maddi Ferrucci split time. Ferrucci made one save in 45 minutes, while Arsenault played the final quarter and did not make a save.

Southern Maine returns to Little East Conference action on Saturday (3:00 pm) hosting Westfield State University at Hannaford Field. Bowdoin takes on No. 8 Trinity College on Saturday (11:00 am).
