WATERVILLE, Maine -- Rookie
Meg Rittenhouse (Tampa, Fla.) scored her third goal of the game 20 seconds into overtime to give the Colby College Mules a 4-3 victory over the visiting University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference women's game Saturday afternoon at Jack Kelley Rink.
The Mules improved to 2-0 on the season with their second straight one-goal win over the Huskies. The Huskies completed their Covid-19 abbreviated season 1-5. Four of the Huskies' five losses were by one goal.
Down 2-1 heading into the third period, Southern Maine got power-play goals from junior
Julianne Nelson (Armstrong, B.C.) and rookie
Eryn Taber (Tewksbury, Mass.) to take a 3-2 lead with 8:18 to play. Nelson's goal, set up by sophomore
Maddy Young (Westford, Vt.) and junior
Shannon Douglas (Telford, England), came while the Huskies enjoyed a 5-on-3 advantage. Taber's marker came five seconds after the Huskies went on the man advantage. Senior

Peyton Dukas (Fairfield, Vt.) were credited with the assists.
Just over three minutes later, Colby got the tying goal when junior
Lexi Cafiero (Guilford, Conn.) scored on the power play, assisted by Rittenhouse and junior
Sadie Kuhn (Woodstock, Vt.).
The end came quickly in the five-minute, 3-on-3 overtime, as Cafiero set up Rittenhouse for the game-winning goal.
The teams traded goals in a span of 2:03 in the first period. Rittenhouse gave the home side the lead at 7:13. Sophomore
