WATERVILLE, Maine – The University of Southern Maine women's ice hockey team traveled north to take on no. 8 nationally-ranked Colby College Tuesday evening in their final game before Thanksgiving break.

History: This was the 41st meeting between the two programs. Colby leads the series 28-10-3.

The Goaltenders: sophomore
Haley McKim (Moncton, NB, Canada): 5-3-0, 31 saves, .886 save percentage; Paige Bolyard: 1-0-0, 17 saves, .944 save percentage.

How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
-Roughly 13 minutes into the first period, Colby senior Lexi Cafiero converted a feed from teammate Meg Rittenhouse for the contest's first score. In the second stanza,
Georgie Snow evened the margin at 1-1 on the power play and a 5-on-3 chance with about 13 minutes left on the clock. Rittenhouse then put her squad at the 11:59 mark 2-1 off a Cafiero feed. Trailing 2-1 the Huskies kept attacking, however, Colby pulled away late with Cafiero's third point of the duel and Elizabeth Brashich's first goal of the game making it a 4-1 contest.

Shannon Colbert (Manomet, Massachusetts) was the Huskies' leader in face off wins tallying 13 wins and only seven defeats.
-USM blocked 20 shots in the game compared to Colby's nine.
-Colby outshot Southern Maine 35-to-18.
-Both teams scored a goal on the power play.
