BEVERLY, Mass. - Four different players scored as the Endicott College Gulls defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference field hockey game Thursday evening at North Field.
Playing in back-to-back games and coming off of a 3-1 win over LEC rival Plymouth State last night, the Huskies see their three-game win-streak come to an end with the loss. Endicott bounces back from a 2-1 loss to No. 4 Babson on Tuesday. Endicott has played four nationally ranked programs this year. Tonight's game was the first meeting between the two schools.

How It Happened:
- Endicott's Meaghan Hogan started off the scoring in the eighth minute breaking through for a 1-0 lead off of an assist from Sydney Poulin.
- After a scoreless second period, the Gulls remained up 1-0 at the break. Poulin put EC up 2-0 in the third quarter scoring in the 36th minute. Jennifer Beardsely made it 3-0 near the end of the quarter scoring in the 43rd minute.
- USM quickly took a goal back from the Gulls as sophomore Hannah Banks (Belfast, Maine/Belfast Area) scored her fourth goal of the season less than a minute later to make it 3-1.
- Olivia Lampasona added a goal in the fourth quarter off of a feed from Hogan in the 53rd minute for the 4-1 final.
Inside The Stats:
- Endicott led USM in shots on goal 19-5. The Gulls also had a 12-3 advantage in penalty corners.
- Huskies' freshman Elizabeth Gonyea (Rindge, N.H./Conant) recorded her first intercollegiate defensive save.
The Goalkeepers:
- Husky junior Julianna Kiklis (York, Maine) made 14 saves. Kiklis' 14 saves are one shy of her season and career-high of 15, set against nationally-ranked Bowdoin College. Kiklis' 124 saves this season are tied for 21st in USM single-season records.
- Endicott goalkeeper Taylor Farrin made a pair of saves.
Up Next:
Southern Maine completes its regular season with tonight's game and awaits its seeding for the upcoming 2021 Little East Conference field hockey tournament championship. The Huskies finished the LEC regular season 9-3.
