USM opened the second half on a 10-3 run and trimmed its deficit to six points with 15:59 to play following a layup from Anderson, but the Warriors responded with 9-0 run kick-started by a Ritrosky jumper after a feed from Nappi to lead 48-33 with 13:37 remaining.

USM battled to back within three possessions on several occasions and trailed by eight, 58-50, with 6:35 remaining following a jumper from McNamara, but Ritrosky again answered for the Warriors with a traditional three-point play effectively closing the door on the game.
