Southern Maine Drops Two Matches; Falls to UMass Dartmouth and Worcester State 3-0

N. DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday afternoon falling to the UMass Dartmouth Corsairs and the Worcester State College Lancers by the score of 3-0.  The Huskies fell to the Corsairs 25-8, 25-9 and 25-9 in a Little East Conference match and then closed out their day with a 25-12, 25-8 and 25-7 loss to the Corsairs.

         With the pair of losses Southern Maine remains winless in 2011 with a record of 0-4 and 0-1 in the conference.  UMass Dartmouth, which defeated Worcester State in its other match of the day, improve to 8-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while Worcester State stands at 5-6.

         Southern Maine returns to action on Thursday (7:00 p.m.) at home against the University of New England.
