In the second half, junior Pat Shaughnessy (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) scored in the 60th minute, assisted by senior Chris Taylor (Liverpool, England).  Taylor would pick up a second assist setting up senior John LoGuirto (Holbrook, N.Y.) with less than three minutes to play.

Sophomore Andy Heighinton (Simcoe, Ontario) had to record one save to pick up the shutout for Plattsburgh.  Senior David Kreps (Agawam, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson) was credited with nine saves for USM.
