PORTLAND, Maine -- The University of Southern Maine and Colby College men's soccer teams played through 110 scoreless minutes Wednesday night in a non-conference match played under the lights at Memorial Field.

The draw leaves Southern Maine, 2-1-1 in its last four matches, with a 2-6-1 overall record.  Colby, winless in its last three matches, is 3-3-1 overall.

The teams' goalkeepers were the show as senior David Kreps (Agawam, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson) for USM and junior Ben Goslin (Chicago, Ill./Latin School) each turned in a clean sheet.  Kreps posted his second straight shutout making six saves.  Joslin, making his first start of the season, recorded eight saves.

Both teams had excellent opportunities to win the match in overtime.  Kreps made two outstanding stops on sophomore Andrew Meisel (Newtown, Conn.).  Joslin got a piece of a shot by senior Nick Johnson (South Portland, Maine) that allowed one of his defenders to clear the ball before it crossed the line.

Southern Maine had a 17-11 advantage in shots and a 9-8 edge in corner kicks during the match.

Southern Maine will host the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Saturday (1:00 p.m.) for a Little East Conference match.  Colby will entertain NESCAC rival Middlebury College on Saturday (1:30 p.m.).
