Named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week, Michaud is earned conference weekly honors for the first time in her career after scoring a pair of goals during the Huskies' 2-0 week. Michaud scored Southern Maine's game-winning goal in its 3-1 win over Fitchburg State. Michaud scored USM's second goal in its 2-0 win over the Corsairs, beating the UMD goalkeeper and the clock as her shot hit the back of the nets as time expired in the first half. Another long-range attempt, Michaud received the ball outside of the box and this time put the ball on frame to the far-right upper ninety of the nets.
Winners of two consecutive games, Southern Maine returns to action at home against Pine Manor College on Tuesday (3:00 p.m.) against non-conference opponent Pine Manor College.
