
Manning established a new Southern Maine record in the 800-meter run this past weekend at the 2012 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEIcAAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass.
Manning crossed the finish line at one minute, 52.13 second to place third in the highly competitive field. He shaved 1.85 seconds off of the previous standard he set at the Little East Conference/New England Alliance championship a few weeks ago. Manning's third place finish also earned him All-New England honors. Manning, who was named the Little East Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, earned All-American honors in the 800-meter run this winter.
Southern Maine returns to action this Thursday and Friday at the 2012 ECAC Division III Championship hosted by R.P.I. in Troy, N.Y.
